GUARDIAN PROGRAM

WHAT IS A GUARDIAN HOME?

A guardian home is a way for us to limit the number of dogs we keep in our own homes so that they get the love and attention they need. If you live in the Cache Valley or Ogden, Utah area this is the perfect way to get a high quality puppy from us with little to no cost to you but we will retain the breeding rights. We require that you spend the time and money to care for the puppy and all of its needs. We will cover the expenses of breeding and whelping and take ownership of their puppies. So basically you will get an adorable forever puppy to add to your family that will come to us every so often to whelp puppies.

REQUIREMENTS

-A fenced backyard
-Previous pet experience 
-Be able to properly train the dog and socialize it
-Be able to keep up on grooming the dog 
-Keep the dog up to date with its vaccinations and health checks
-No plan of relocating within the next 5 years
-We require that you allow us to schedule times through the dog's life for us to come to pick her up to take photos of her for our use
-Always be open to communicating and work with us the remainder of the time that the dog is in a program

HAVING A FEMALE GUARDIAN HOME DOG

Once the girl has passed her health tests she will be placed in your care until she comes into heat usually around a year in age. You are responsible to watch for her to come into heat and notify us as soon as she does. Then within a week from that time we will pick her up for the day to breed her. This will typically occur two day. From that time we will keep in close touch with you and in about 8 weeks we will schedule to come pick her up for 7-8 weeks to whelp and raise her puppies. If she produces the litters that we are looking for this process will occur 4-5 times and then she will be transferred to your complete ownership and care to love for the rest of her life. We welcome you into our home to come visit your dog and her puppies while she is in our care.

WHAT BREED OF DOGS ARE IN OUR GUARDIAN PROGRAM?

Depending on what breed we see fit to add to our program at the time we typically have Bernese Mountain Dogs, Australian Mountain Doodles, Bernedoodles, Poodles, and Aussiedoodles available to our guardian families.
